Our Families
Mitch's Side of the family
My (Mitch's) mom and dad, Brian and Sandy, live in New Brunswick, Canada, where I grew up. My parents love being grandparents. They FaceTime with us every Sunday and enjoy seeing our son grow and learn. They also love spending time on their Harley motorcycle.
I have one brother, Josh, who is only 15 months younger than I. Josh is a Master Corporal in the Canadian Air Force. He and his wife, Holly, live in Ontario, Canada. Josh and Holly love being an Uncle and Aunt and our son adores them both. We used to live just over the boarder from them and would regularly make the 2 1/2 hour trip to visit, but since relocating, we haven’t gotten to spend much time with them. But we are very thankful for FaceTime and SnapChat because they keep us connected.
CHAR'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY
My (Char's) family lives mostly in Michigan where I grew up. They have all been very supportive of our decision to adopt since day 1. My parents love being grandparents to Manny and my 4 nephews. And they look forward to adding more grandkids to our family. We live about 2 1/2 hours from my parents and we try and visit as often as we can. Manny is very close to his "JaJa" and "Nonna."
I am the second of 4 children. I have an older sister, Shannah, who has two sons, Kenny (7) and Benjamin (5). They live in Southern Michigan. My nephews spent 2 weeks with us this summer, giving Manny a chance to get to know his cousins well. My younger sister, Necole is married with two sons, Johnathan (4) and Whit (1) and lives in Ohio. My little brother, Anthony and his wife live in Maine.
